DUNEDIN, December 10. The container ship Columbus Australia, was fumed round in less than a day at Port Chalmers today, when watersiders worked three continuous shifts. It is believed to be the first time in New Zealand that a container ship has been loaded in three continuous shifts under the container agreement, signed by watersiders and terminal management.

The 19,146-ton vessel berthed at 11.20 a.m. on Saturday, and work began at noon. Work finished at 9 a.m. today, and the Columbus Australia sailed for Wellington at 10.06 a.m. In all, 225 containers were unloaded or loaded.
