Dec. 10. | Australia’s new Labour Government is to give a total 1 of $300,000 to the United, Nations Fund for Population ; Activities and the Inter- i national Planned Parenthood! Federation, the Prime Minister (Mr Whitlam) an--nounced today. The decision reverses an! earlier one by the previous; Liberal-Country Party Gov- ■ eminent not to support the■ fund. The new grant had been! made in the light of the im-; portant role population pro-I grammes had in the economic • and social development ofj many developing countries, i said Mr Whitlam. The fund will get $200,000! and the federation $100,000.1
