NELSON.—Moderate winds, tending southwest ; rain this morning, but partly cloudy mild weather from this afternoon. CANTERBURY.—Moderate south-west winds developing; some heavy showers in the Southern Alps this morning, and some scattered lighter showers elsewhere, but fair weather later in the day; moderate temperatures. BULLER AND WESTLAND.—Moderate northerly winds; a period of rain this morning; moderate westerlies in the afternoon, with partly cloudy, mild weather. OUTLOOK.—Rain on the West Coast, mainly fair elsewhere, but some showers likely in the evening.
