WHITLAM ON 'PORTNOY’

The new Australian Prime Minister (Mr Whitlam) has personally lifted the ban on the film “Portnoy’s Complaint,” which will now be allowed into Australia uncut. A Government spokesman said tonight that Mr Whitlam had made the decision in consultation with the Attomey-General-elect (Senator Lionel Murphy), with the restriction that the film be shown only to audiences over 18.
