Woman dies of injuries
A woman died in Christchurch Hospital from injuries she suffered when a car and a van collided at the corner of Bretts and Weston Roads, Papanui, about 8.50 p.m. yesterday. She was Marjorie Helen Johnson, aged 70, of 5 Ashcroft Place, Burnside, who suffered head and multiple injuries. Mrs Johnson fell on to the road upon impact.
