Australia’s Governmentcontrolled overseas airline, Qantas, might abandon some round-the-world routes as part of a substantial overhaul of aviation policy by the ini coming Labour Government, the new Minister of Shipping, Transport, and Aviation (Mr Charles Jones) said today. The airline might cut its flights to Europe through Singapore, and abandon those from San Francisco to Ade- ■ laide. Qantas would consider trading reciprocal landing I rights between Australia and Peking if the Government negotiated trade agreements I with China. I The new Prime Minister (Mr Whitlam) has already made it clear that, he wants to establish diplomatic relations with China as soon as possible.
