'■ The final meeting of the South Island gold star motor-cycle scrambles championship at Lyalldale yesterday was held under perfect conditions, with large fields of riders ana spirited radiDG. Reid (Rangiora) won each of bls three class races in the 230 c.c. and 350 c.c. sections-— six wins in all—and R, Austin (Ashburton) recorded three wins and two seconds In the two larger capacity classes. •Hie Lang Challenge Trophy was given to R. Horsburgh (Ashburton), as the most improved South Island scrambler of the year. Gold Star series finals resulted: 250 c.c.—R. Boyce (Blenheim), CZ, 135, 1; G. Reid (Rangiora), CZ, 128, 2; M.
