Successful summer

THE EAST CHRISTCHURCH-SHIRLEY senior cricket captain, V. Pollard, bowling at Burwood Park on the last day of the senior competition last Saturday. The New Zealand representative all-rounder had a most successful summer. He was first in the Christchurch batting averages, third in the batting aggregates, sixth equal in the bowling averages, and seventh in the bowling aggregates. He also hit the most sixes and had the fourth highest tally of catches.
