Gay Harmony was scratched yesterday, for the Canterbury Jockey Club’s George Adams Handicap on Monday. He will run in the Opawa Handicap, and wiU be ridden by the Wingatul jockey A. K. Robinson. I I Spy has been taken out of ; the Great Easter Handicap and ; will run in the Warstep Stakes. Circus Gitl has been withdrawn i from the Papanui Hack Handicap and will, run in the Great Easter, in which her rider will be E. J. Didham. Japita, a winner at Rangiora last Monday, wUI miss the Opawa Handicap and her . tfalner, D. Reed, has taken the ride on the Gore-tfained Jane Marie.' Japita will be kept for the Dominion Handicap on> Wednesday when she will be ridden by W. D. Skelton. ■ 1 Another mount for Skelton on Wednesday will be the old, Ilia, which will be taken out of the field' for the Champagne Stakes on Monday. Judge dies Sir William Owen, a Judge of the High Court of Australia, has died after surgery in a Sydney hospital. He was aged 72.—Sydney, March 31.
