UNIVERSITY VACANCIES ' TECHNICIAN (Department of Geology) APPLICATIONS are invited for the position of Technician in the Geology Department. Applicants should have technical qualifications in the field of electronics i and preferably some experience in the use and maintenance of X-ray equipment and other electronic instruments. The successful applicant will assist in the installation of a scanning electron microscope and an electron probe microanalyser, and he will be trained as an operator to carry out routine examinations on both instruments. He will be responsslble for the maintenance of a wide range of analytical equipment including the electron probe, X-ray diffraction and fluorescence and differential thermal analysis. Salary will be paid in accordance with qualifications and experience within the scale for Technicians Grades I to 111, ?2877-$4699 per annum.
