Radio pioneer dead
Mr Charles Singer, one of America’s pioneers in radio and electronic communications, has died in Washington, aged 65. He had retired last year as vice-president of the Underseas Cable Corporation. Mr Singer directed the development, installation and maintenance of the vast raido-communications network of the NA.T.O. Alliance, and portions of the North American earlywarning systems.—Washington, March 29.
