The Physics Department is a small unit with three physicists and two well qualified technical officers, with a small well [equipped and specialised physics workshop. Normally, by rotation at reasonable intervals, one ; physicist is seconded to Nuclear ! Medicine and one to Radio- ! therapy. The present vacancy reIfers to initial secondment to the I Nuclear Medicine Department. Substantial modern equipment includes a Nuclear-Chicago gamma camera and full accessories; ' rectilinear scanner; automatic beta and gamma counting equipment (independently); patient counting equipment; and other usual equipment. A radiochemist and biochemist are also attached to the department. Computer processing of data is under investigation. Salary scale is within the following scales: 53276-54252 (seven steps) and $4078-$5659 (seven steps) with automatic annual increments and the possibility of accelerated promotion for merit.
