Car nearly destroyed

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 30.

A car stolen from Whangarei on Monday has been found—almost destroyed.

The thieves apparently drove the car, a 1963 Morris Minor, to Onehunga and discarded it at an over-grown rubbish tip. One door has been ripped off, and both seats pulled free, ripped, and heaved aside. Windows have been smashed, the steering wheel twisted out of shape, and the dashboard instruments wrecked. The exterior of the car is in little better shape.
