Expansion by Brabham
(N.Z. Pre at Attn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Dec. 29. An aviation company headed by the former world champion racing driver, Jack Brabham, will take a substantial share in one of Australia’s oldest flying organisations. A spokesman for the Brabham Organisation said today that a merger agreement had been reached with the Kingsford Smith Flying Service Pty, Ltd, which was founded as a flying school in 1934 by the pioneer flyer, Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, eight years after he made the first air crossing of the Tasman Sea in the Southern Cross. Mr Brabham, who also has his own motor vehicle business, established an aviation division three years ago, to arrange aircraft charter, private hire, maintenance and sales.
