Pedersen has heat win
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY. The Olympic gold medallist, H. O. L. Pedersen, strengthened his bid for a place in the New Zealand team at Munich yesterday when he won the second heat of the Soling Class Christmas championship at Sydney. Pedersen sailed his yacht Zeus through the fleet into second place on the first two reaches during the harbour race. Then Brolga (M. Anderson) lost her advantage when she broke the spinnaker pole and Pedersen went into the lead and won by 42sec
