To the church on time
(N.Z. Press Association! NELSON, Dec. 28. The last five days have been frantic in the Scott household at Tasman but, as in “My Fair Lady,” they got to the church on time. Miss Anne Seott entered the Presbyterian Church at Tasman, near Motueka, for her wedding this morning on the arm of her father, Mr R. G. Seott, manager of McKee and Sons orchard. Last Thursday evening
she was involved in a car accident on the main high, way at Appleby, 15 miles from Nelson, soon after collecting her fiance, Mr Hugh Kavanagh, off a flight from Wellington. Their ear was damaged beyond repair, and Miss Seott was taken to the Nelson Publie Hospital, where 45 stitches were Inserted in her face. On Friday she was still fairly shocked, and over the week-end the family had a quiet Christmas at home. , Yesterday the stitches
were removed—a slow and painstaking job for the family doctor and a nurs- < rag Mend. A special masking make-up, put on only for the few hours of the wedding, completed preparations. : , Honeymoon bookings for the first few days have been cancelled. Mr Kavanagh, whose home is in Oamaru, is a hank securities officer. He was recently transferred from Nelson to Wellington. He suffered superficial injuries tn the accident
