“Garage” caravan
Campers flocked round the holiday vehicle of two apparently seasoned travellers who arrived at the Coronation Park motor camp, Ashburton, yesterday. Their travelling home is built on a three-ton or four-ton truck chassis. After their arrival, the husband opened the rear doors, affixed a platform plank runway—and drove out of the truck in a mini car, which the couple use to tour places of interest while camped at each stopping place on their holiday. With the mini car parked outside, the “garage” space in the caravan quickly converts to a campers’ home.
