Mailbag stolen
,A Post Office overflow bag containing second-class mail —newspapers and small parcels—was stolen from an address in Grafton Street, Linwood, on December 16.
The bag had been left inside the gate at the Grafton Street address by a Post Office van, about 9 am. It was found to be missing at 11.45 am. by the postwoman for whom it was dropped. The bag is made of red canvas, tied at the top with string, and is smaller than an ordinary mailbag. The Christchurch C. 1.8. is investigating the theft.
