Joint project in Australia
(N.Z. Press TOKYO, December 28. Mitsui and Company, of Japan, and Australian and French firms have recently signed an agreement on a joint investment project fot the construction of a tubular goods factory in Australia. The French partner is a consortium of French banks. The three parties have established a company, Australia Tube-Mills, in Melbourne, with an initial capital of $2.2m. The Australian interests will finance 77.5 per cent the French bank consortium 9 per cent, and the remaining 13.5 per cent will be supplied by Mitsui, subject to approval of the Japanese Government
