Lindsay may run
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MIAMI (Florida), Dec. 28. The Mayor of New York, Mr John Lindsay, who became a Democrat less than five months ago, is today expected to announce officially that he has set his sights on the party’s 1972 Presidential nomination.
In a mid-morning press conference at a Miami hotel he is expected to declare that he is entering the Florida primary election, a key popularity test due to be held on March 14. In a whirlwind visit with all the hallmarks of a campaign swing, he will later visit a shopping centre, an old age home and an urban development site, accompanied by his wife, aides, and a large press retinue.
