VOLVO PLANS
Sweden’s Volvo automotive group has announced the establishment of offices in Sydney to direct the company’s operations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Japan. Volvo operations in the area include a car assembly plant in Malaysia, and in Australia the company has branches in every mainland state. A s2m Volvo truck assembly plant will be opened in Brisbane next year, and distributors are now being appointed in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Volvo cars are also expected to be sold through these distributors.
