CLIMBERS AT CLYDE RIVER

Graeme Dingle and Jill Tremain yesterday moved up the Havelock Glacier and across the Disappointment Saddle to reach the Agnes bivouac on the Clyde River. They are now about to leave the Rangitata River system and move into the Rakaia River system. If they move on today Mr Dingle and Miss Tremain will go over the Francis Glacier and the Rangitata col to the upper Rakaia. The weather forecast for today is for increased northwesterly cloud.
