Liquor worth $4000 stolen

AUCKLAND, Sept. 7. Thieves stole more than $4OOO worth of liquor, mainly whisky, from the wholesale department of the Mount Wellington Licensing Trust’s hotel last night. The manager, Mr C. D. Cornish, said the lock on the door of the store had been drilled out, without setting off the alarm system. The theft was npt noticed until staff arrived for work at 8 a.m.
