(N.Z. Press Association) MELBOURNE. The New Zealand jumper, Waioneke, scored his first win in Australia on Wednesday. The Pharamond —Miss Kauri gelding was ridden to a fourlength victory by the New Zealand apprentice, P. Haitana, in the Pinaroo Hurdle (13 furlongs) at Werribee. Bargain Hunter was unplaced at 8 to 1 in the Manor Handicap (101 furlongs), won by Dark Suit (Follow Suit—Fettercairn).
