Air safety magazine

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. The Ministry of Transport is to produce a quarterly magazine for air pilots, licensed flight crew and organisations interested in aviation safety, said the Minister of Transport (Mr Gordon). “I particularly appreciate the gesture of the Royal New Zealand Aero Club which requested me to consider increasing pilots’ licence fees to make available additional finance to assist with the production of a flight-safety publication,” Mr Gordon said.

The publication would include illustrated articles based on incidents brought to the notice of the department’s flight-operations branch, air accidents, contributions from writers in fields associated with flying, such as air-traffic control, and overseas flightsafety publications.
