Hagley H.S. to be landscaped
A landscape designer’s j plans, showing various pos- . sible ways in which the' grounds of Hagley High School could be visually im-, proved were discussed by the school board last even- j ing. Approval was given to proceed with the design sur- - vey. A consulting firm based at Lincoln College had been approached to landscape the grounds, as he had been told that it was impossible to have it done at the moment as a Lincoln College student survey, said the principal (Mr I. D. Leggat). Estimated costs of the survey would be about $5OO, although this was only a provisional figure, Mr Leggat said. “From the designer’s plans, it is indicated that the plan will show where the holes will be and what to put in them when planting, and therefore it is hoped that pupils, parents, and friends of the school will be able to take part in this,” he said. “Once we have adefinite plan to base our action on, the Parent-Teacher Association, parents, and friends will be invited to support the scheme.”
