The visit of the South Africa: surf life-saving team was a good thing for the sport In Nev. Zealand, the president of th< Canterbury association (Mr J. A Lee) told the annual genera: meeting last evening. "I feel the correct decision was taken, and thia tour, and the exchange of Ideas, did nothing but good for the surf life-saving movement,” he said. Thanking his officers and commlttee, Mr Lee made special mention of the chief instructor, Mr I. L. Kilroy, and the secretary. Mr G. J. Silvester. Service awards.—Messrs D. E. Hulme, G. W.
