Aleader out of National

Aleader will not run in the Grand National Steeplechase on Saturday. He remains in the north to contest a hack and hunters 1 steeplechase at the Franklin meeting on Saturday. Royal Fleet, which will tilt at the formidable Grand National’s double, will arrive from the North Island this morning. This dogged Waikato stayer will be ridden at Riccarton by H. Green, who won the Wellington Winter Hurdles at Trentham last month. Lord Chick, one of the fancies for the Jumpers* Flat on Saturday, will be flown to Christchurch from the Waikato tomorrow with his stablemate, Superior Star.
