Swimmers named

Two Canterbury girls and two new representatives have been included in the New Zealand swimming team—all from the South Island—to compete in the Queensland and Australian winter championships in Brisbane later thia month. The team is: Misses S. J. Hunter, J. Parkhouse (both Canterbury), Misses G. Boyens and D. Ledgerwood, and J. McConnochle (all Otago), and M. F. Troffers (Southland). The New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association, which announced the team at its council meeting last evening, had allowed for a team of 10 swimmers to make the tour, but only these six had recently swum inside the qualifying timet required for the Australian championships. It was also decided to send a coach with the team. The appointment will be made later.
