“BRACKEN’S WORLD”

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 24. Peter Haskell and Karen Jensen, stars of the American . television series, "Bracken’s World,” were in Auckland for two hours this week on the way from Los Angeles tb Sydney. They are to appear as guests at the presentation of Australia’s Logie awards for the best television productions and performers. Miss Jensen, who was accompanied by her husband, John Neilson, said the cast of “Bracken’s World” were all shocked by the decision to cancel it mid-way through its second series. “We wouldn’t have been

so surprised if it had happened earlier, but we weren’t expecting it at that time,” said Miss Jensen, who played the starlet, Rachel Holt. She has just completed a comedy role and said this trip was a late honeymoon for her and her husband. They were married four months ago. Peter Haskell entered the airport with his right arm strapped up, he said he had only strained it, on a ski-ing trip. A keen photographer, he produced a camera soon after landing and was warned by customs officers when he started to take pictures of passengers going through the customs area. After his Australian trip, he will star in a television feature, playing a young photographer who becomes involved in a germ warfare adventure in the backwoods of Canada.
