Old house sold
The 107-year-old house in Ferry Road which failed to sell at auction last Tuesday was sold on Wednesday morning, when 30 telephone calls were received by the auctioneer after a photograph of the house and its history appeared in “The Press.” The first man who telephoned bought the house; and the deal was completed yesterday at a price several hundreds of dollars above the “passed in” price.
