AWARD TO MR GUPPY

WELLINGTON, Feb. 19.
One of New Zealand’s most distinguished soccer administrators, Mr S. J. Guppy, of Nelson, was last night" made a life member of the national association. His connection with the game, which goes back 58 years, has been at every level’ of the sport, from player to president of the nationalbody. He is the third person to be made a life member oft the association, the other two' being Mr G. Jackson, of Wel«j lington, and Mr J. Kershaw/, of Auckland. As retiring member of thenational executive, Mr W. A. Fox, was elected senior-vice-president Other elections were:—
