GERMAN CHALLENGER FOR THE ONE TON CUP.—Sixteen yachts representing nine nations will take part in the One Ton Cup series of races which will start in the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland, next Thursday. This photograph shows Optimist B, from West Germany, sailing on Auckland Harbour this week. The yacht, one of the favourites to win the cup, will be raced by the veteran helmsman, Hans Beilken, who won the One Ton Cup twice in the first Optimist.
