TO MEET IN N.Z.

Committee of W.C.C. The executive committee of the World Council of Churches, which has about 20 members throughout the world and meets about twice a year, will hold its first meeting in New Zealand next year. The general secretary of the National Council of Churches in New Zealand (the Rev. D. M. Taylor) said that he had received a letter from the chairman of the World Council’s central committee (Mr M. M. Thomas) confirming that the meeting would be held in Auckland in February, 1972. Several bf the six presidents and about 20 members of the World Council’s staff are also expected to attend.

Mr Taylor said that he had invited the committee members and some staff members to stay in New Zealand for about nine days after the meeting so that they could meet and speak to church people in other parts of the country.
