“Note for note”
“Note for Note,” the Dune-din-produced musical quiz, enters its second season this year. Colin Lehmann and Denise Brady return as compere and hostess with 23 top-line entertainers as guests. The show is recorded on stage in the Mayfair Theatre, Dunedin, and contestants taking part in the quiz have been drawn from Dunedin. Oamaru, Balclutha, Gore and Invercargill. There are 12 programmes in the series, and a few changes have been made in the format this year. The English singer Tommy Steele will be seen in an "Ominbus” series pogramme, “Tommy Steele end Things” on Sunday evening. “I suppose you could call this film a happening,” says Tommy Steele. "It’s not •bout England, and it’s not really about London. It’s about a journey—a journey through memories and thoughts, but it’s mainly •bout people.” The camera moves through Steele’s native Bermondsey, looking at people and places which mean much to him.
