Wrong name for wedding
(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 18. The marriage of New Yorkborn Terry John Lane, aged 23, in Christchurch last year was a quiet affair, and attracted little attention until it was later discovered that the groom was bom in Dunedin and his name was not Lane. Jeffrey Keith Coomer, aged 23, a salesman, pleaded guilty in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court today to two charges of making a false statement about his identity one for the purpose of the Marriage Act, and the other for the marriage register in Christchurch. Mr D. G. Sinclair, S.M., convicted Coomer and remanded him in custody until February 25 for sentence. Senior-Sergeant R. V.
