L. HODREN BACK
••The Presi" Special Service CAMBRIDGE. The former New Zealand jockey, L. i. Hodren, who la back for two weeks holiday rode several gallopers in training at Cambridge yesterday. Hodren, who now lives in Bendigo, has ridden 81 winners on the neighbouring circuit during his two and a half years in Australia. He served bis apprenticeship with E. Temperton at Awapuni and his major wins Included the Wellington Cup on Golden Galleon and the Hamilton Centennial Cup on Apa. Hodren had an unplaced mount at Hawera on Wednesday. He is staying with Cambridge jockey, R Taylor, and hopes to obtain some rides at Te Rapa tomorrow. He can ride at 7.12.
