Law for motorists
Victoria’s law making the wearing of seat belts compulsory will now be enforced. The law was proclaimed before Christmas, but no prosecutions have been launched. This gave police time to educate motorists to wear the belts. Now drivers or passengers found without belts will either be warned, invited to attend a road accident film or summoned.—Sydney February 3. * ( ’
