Woodward had his horseman’s licence suspended to and Including next Saturday at the Northern Southland Trotting Club’s amiial non-totalisator meeting at Balfour on Saturday. Woodward’s* suspension arose from interference over the closing stages of the Waikaia Handicap, woo by hia runner, Ratanui. Boxing Challango.—The former world champion bantam-weight boxer, L. Rose, will challenge for the Australian light-weight title on Januaiy 23. He will fight the title-holder, J. White, of Queensland. ■
