More space at schools
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 9. A new building code for intermediate schools has been approved by the Government, the Minister of Education (Mr Taiboys) announced today. “Administration accommodation has been considerably increased,” he said in a statement. “In addition, provision is made for both a casualty room and a girls’ 'sick room. „ “One of the major staff amenities provided, resources rooms, will enable teaching equipment and materia’ to be more readily available to the class teacher. These areas will also provide working space for small groups of pupils.” , „ The general-purpose hall had been made more useful to the school by the provision of physical education changing rooms and more storage space. Library and science accommodation had been increased.
