C.W.L. head elected
(N.Z. Press Association) ! AUCKLAND, October 16. ! ! Mrs Frances Gregory, of ;Gisborne, has been elected! 'national president of the! Catholic Women.’s League ! I for the next two years. ! The first congratulatory telegram she received after her election at the C.W.L. annual conference in Auckland was from the Methodist Women’s Fellowship national office. Mrs Gregory is the first and only woman member of the Gisborne City Council, and is on the council’s town i planning, reserves, library, and pensioners’ housing committees.
