TOPI PUT DOWN
Mr D. W. J. Gould, who has lost several horses through accidents in the last few years, including his good performer, Manana, suffered further ill fortune last weekend when Topi had to be put down. Topi, a three-year-old gelding by Mighty Gurkha from Tiki Fox, returned two seconds and a fourth placing from five starts as a two-year-old and showed promise. When working last Saturday he split a cannonbone. Top was trained by J. L. Barr.
