Death Of Miner
fFrom Our Own Reporter? GREYMOUTH, August 20. A co-operative party miner was killed in an accident in Hunter and Party’s mine at Rewanui, about 2 p.m. today. He was
John Quinn, in his 50s, married, with two children, of 28 Hall-Jones Street, Runanga.
Mr Quinn, who was one of six partners working the mine, was struck by a large fall of stone. Extrication work took about 15 minutes.
