Rugby And Television
Sir,— Through your columns may we protest against the decision of the Rugby Union not to allow a direct television coverage of one of the oldest secondary school games? There are literally thousands of old boys of both schools bitterly disappointed as they are unable to attend. These are the keenest of supporters and ticket-holders who pay; and attend big matches when 1 possible. On behalf of all' country supporters of the, game, to say nothing of in-[ valids and relatives of play-1 ers, I suggest the Rugbvj Union reconsider their cock-1 eyed decision.—Yours, etc., PLAY BALL. June 23, 1970. i
