Farmers Not Satisfied (N.Z. Press Association) I" WELLINGTON, June 24. Slow progress in the reform and improvement of the (wool marketing system had (brought widespread dissatisfaction among farmers, Mr J. L. C. Chayton, chairman of the meat and wool section of (Federated Farmers, said today. In a speech prepared for (delivery at the annual conference of the section, Mr (Chaytor said forward selling lof wool six months or a year ahead for substantially less (than the present depressed (prices was probably the great!est single cause of dissatisfaction with, and mistrust of the present wool-selling methlods. I He said improvements I should be designed to give (relatively stable prices to the ]user of the wool, provide the (most effective competition j possible against artificial (fibres, improve wool’s share (of the textile market, and (give the woolgrower the greatjest possible net return both in the short and long term.
