Galleries Packed

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 25. The public galleries of Parliament were packed as the Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon) delivered his 75minute Budget speech tonight. Mr Muldoon received a quiet and attentive hearing throughout. As he sat down Government members erupted in loud applause but the Opposition remained motionless.

Males predominated in the packed public galleries and many were taking notes —strictly against House rules as Mr Muldoon spoke. Parliamentary messengers, who supervise the areas, were unable to do anything about them because of the difficulty of reaching the notetakers.
