Plot To Kill Bishop

The parish priest of Desulo near Oristano, found a package of dynamite on his doorstep with instructions to use it to blow up the bishop who transferred him to another parish.
The parishioners of Don Nando Palmas, upset at his transfer, left the package—with four sticks of dynamite, a detonator and fuse—for him to take revenge on Bishop Sabastiano Fraghi during a pastoral visit to Desulo.
The instructions said Don Nando should hide the dynamite in the bishop's car, and light the fuse shortly before [the car was due to leave Desulo.
: "The offence that has been (done to you will thus be ■avenged, and you can come back to us,” the letter accompanying the package said.
Don Nando told the bishop, (who told the police, who have (begun a search for the authors of the plan.
