PUKAKI INN
Licence Moved To Twizel fN Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 3. The Tourist Hotel Corporation today received approval to remove its hotel premises licence from the Lake Pukaki Inn Hotel, at Pukaki, to the proposed Twizel Inn Hotel, at Twizel.
The approval was given in a decision by the Licensing Control Commission. Opposition to the corporation's application was heard from the Mackenzie County Council, Messrs F. J. Fay and A. L. Ling, the Waitaki Lakes Committee. and Mr F. A. Smith. The commission said in its decision it could hardly be said that liquor services were needed at Lake Pukaki, where the population in 1966 was 246. 1
