Bank Robber Sought

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEW YORK, June 1.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking for a man with a gutteral, Central European accent who, they say, is alleged to have robbed 19 New York City banks since March.

Dubbed “Dashing Dan” by F. 8.1. agents, the robber, who works only on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays, has stolen more than $U533,500. The man usually hands a teller a note demanding bills of large denomination. He never forgets to say “thank: you.”

On six occasions when the tellers denied having large denomination bills, he walked out quietly—to hold up another bank within the next hour or so. Automatic bank cameras have taken several photo-! graphs of the robber, showing] him to be between 40 and 50 years old.
