A Dog’s Life
Sir,—l really think this permissive age has reached rock bottom. One has realised that soliciting has been going on in Cathedral Square for some time, and this becomes blatantly apparent when looking at the photograph published in “The Press” on Friday of Sasha. To think that our animals are being led astray by the behaviour of adults! The country is, and the people of New Zealand are, rapidly going to the dogs, but where are the poor dogs going? It is high time some good old Victorian discipline was used. However, there is One redeeming feature. The canine breed do not believe in apartheid, and one can only hope that Sasha’s black friend will lead him back to healthy, moral, and peaceful co-existence, thus setting an example to all straying adults.—Yours, etc..
